about

The Funk n’ Beats series from Bombstrikes continues to grow in stature! This time the label have headed stateside to recruit the almighty Fort Knox Five for curation and DJ duties! With such luminaryfunksters on board, the outcome is every bit as special as you would expect. The Washington DC based crew deliver the album with their trademark quality and down right funkiness, selecting future classics and digging deep for some unbelievable forgotten gems, in a way that only some-one who has been in the game so long could do.

Recent highlights from Bombstrikes’ catalog are stacked alongside new music, hidden classics and exclusives. Just reading the track listing gets your feet itching to move, such is the pedigree on board. Featuring music from Fort Knox Five themselves with stone cold classics from the likes of Black Machine, Malente and Ugly Duckling, the quality keeps on oozing out via The Allergies, The Noisy Freaks, Lack of Afro and many more. Not to mention the exclusive digital release of seminal track ‘Flex the posse by Rhythm Mode: D', an early collaboration between legends Mark Archer (of Altern 8 fame) alongside Dean Meredith (Bizarre Inc, Chicken Lips). There are so many outstanding tracks on the compilation that each would be a worthwhile addition on its own, but when added together, plus a funked out Dj mix from Fort Knox Five, then this is one mother of an album that cannot be missed.

about

Bombstrikes UK

Founded in 2004, by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

Home to the much loved Funk N' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series.
